Hi Lindsey

You should start with Agenda 1 which is in the pack then move on to Agenda 3 as the second one is themed around Christmas and Advent.

You should also register your forum using the forms in the pack please. Sorry I hadn't put Agenda 4 on the site yet. I'll upload it soon.

Are the Forum's still working to the timetable as 4 is not on the website? If we start doing them st Rutherglen should we just join in from 5 onwards or should we begin with 1?

Thanks

In October 2009 Nairn URC youth held an activity day to celebrate 'The year of the child'. Over 20 children ranging from 5yrs to 16yrs attended from different churches around Nairn where we had fun with crafts ~ making a rainbow and colourful paperchains, and creating a fantastic wall banner, thankyou very much Harriot for your imput with this, singing, games and making up prayers for the follow up service. The banner will be making its way round the churches of Nairn this year so that everyone can enjoy the children/young people's work. In November we held a special service to bring together the ideas and our thoughts to our congregation. The children/young people enjoyed taking part with this and I hope that our congregation did too.

During the Easter holidays we will be enjoying another activity day exploring the idea of what it is to be a disciple of Jesus. This time we will be inviting the parents to join us for lunch before bringing what we have achieved and learnt before God in a short act of worship.

A short note to introduce myself as the new convener of the Ecumenical and World Church Relations Committee. The map on this page gives only part of the picture - the Local Ecumenical Partnerships. But we know that there are looser forms of ecumenism going on all over Scotland. So tell us what it looks like from your perspective -
Which churches do you relate to? What ecumenical collaboration is happening where you are?
Do you have a link with a church overseas? How does that work?
And what of other faiths?
We hope to be able to share experiences and ideas for developing this area of church life, which has been central to the United Reformed Church since its inception.
Looking forward to being inundated!

I am here at work, thinking of Steven Manders.
He has been, until his ordination, part of the Social Policy management team here at West Lothian Council.
I happened to google his name, and found your wonderful website.
The reason for my interest in gleaning more information about Steven, is due to the fact that although he has invited me up to Nairn many times since his arrival, he appears to have temporarily lost the inclination to come back to the Lothians to visit us.
Maybe the congregation would be so good as to give him a nudge towards calling his old friends.
I'm aware Steven will read this comment and I'm sure he will be duly amused!

Dear Craig

the link above for the Manual takes you to the main United Reformed Church website with further links for each section of the Manual. I notice that in some cases - eg Section J there is not the full text but just an description of that section. the whole Manual used to be available for download. I will check it out.

I am experiencing problems downloading The Manual - continually come up with a page error. Is anyone else experiencing such difficulties or is it only me? i.e. is the problem mine or the website's?
